Function: The commission is responsible for making recommendations to the Mayor on needed improvements, coordinating activities and managing conflicts among various users of the Corridor. Create partnerships among local, state and federal agencies, private and nonprofit sectors to plan and fund needed improvements.

Qualifications: The commission shall be comprised of the Managers of Denver’s Department of Parks and Recreation, Public Safety, Public Works and Environmental Health; a rep of the Board of Water Commissioners; a rep of the Mayor’s Office; at least 2 members of Denver’s City Council; at least 3 reps from the business community; at least 5 reps from recreational, environmental, wildlife advocacy and educational nonprofit organizations; at least 4 reps from neighborhood organizations; reps from up to 8 other governmental agencies.
