Data and Transparency

As an extension of the Department of Public Safety's dedication to transparency and accountability, the department is excited to share interactive dashboards to help the public better understand how public safety operates in Denver. Additional dashboards on other topics will be added to this page in the future.

“The Department of Public Safety is committed to increasing transparency with the public, and the release of these dashboards is a great step in the right direction. We will be able to share timely information about discipline and incidents throughout our city to help the public better understand the work of our department. This is just the first step, and we look forward to sharing more data and dashboards on other topics soon.”

- Armando Saldate, Executive Director of Public Safety

Public Integrity Division (PID) Dashboard

The Public Integrity Division (PID) Dashboard was created to illustrate the work of the Department of Public Safety's internal investigations process. The PID was created to ensure each complaint against the Denver Sheriff Department is reviewed in an equitable manner to enhance the confidence in disciplinary processes for both the public and those internal to the Department of Public Safety and Denver Sheriff Department. This dashboard provides basic complaint and suspect information, types of complaints, and case outcomes.

Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) Dashboard

The Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) System is a tool used by first responders that aids in prioritizing, identifying, and dispatching a response to incident-based calls within the City and County of Denver. This dashboard brings together data from police, fire, 9-1-1, and emergency medical services to create a comprehensive picture of what types of calls first responders are handling. In addition to annual incident data, users will be able to review CAD incidents from the last seven days.
