Travel Advisory: Full Closure of Northbound Speer Blvd Downtown

Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) is making travelers aware that it is planning to close a stretch of northbound Speer Boulevard between Lawrence Street and Market Street for the staging and placement of girders for a new bridge being constructed on Larimer Street over Cherry Creek.

Denver Extends its Closure of E. 56th Avenue from Peoria to Peña

Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure has determined that a damaged sanitary sewer pipe discovered by crews implementing a travel and safety improvement project on East 56th Avenue (damage not caused by their construction activities) will need to be replaced rather than repaired to ensure the integrity of the pipe for years to come.

You are Invited: 16th Street Mall Paver Preview

A sample installation of the paver system is now open to the public, allowing people to experience the new granite walkway and transitway.

City Releases $450 Million General Obligation Bond Package Details

The city today followed through on the commitment to deliver a boost to Denver’s economic recovery with an equitable, fiscally responsible, community-focused $450 million General Obligation (GO) bond package which would create an estimated 7,500 good-paying jobs, produce an estimated $483 million in worker wages and benefits, and $1 billion in economic benefits.

City Preps $274M Revenue Bond Issuance to Create Jobs, Boost Economy

Denver is pursuing issuance of $274 million in voter-approved revenue bonds to support construction of the National Western Center campus and the Colorado Convention Center projects. The investment in the two programs is expected to have an estimated $10 billion economic impact on the regional economy and will support nearly 7,200 jobs over the next 3 years.
