Two stretches of roadway downtown will close for setup of Play Ball Park
Denver – Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure would like people who work and play downtown to be aware that two stretches of roadway are closing this week to prepare for the arrival of Play Ball Park, an event that’s part of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Week in Denver and happening inside and outside of the Colorado Convention Center.
The following stretches will fully close to vehicle and bike travel starting Wednesday, June 30, at 6:00pm through Friday, July 16, as setup of the event and the event itself is underway:
- 14th Street from Stout to Welton Streets
- Welton Street from 12th to 14th Streets
Full road closures are shown in red on the map below as well three adjacent stretches in yellow that will be open for local access only. Alternative travel routes are advised. Play Ball Park opens July 9. More information about the event can be found on the MLB All-Star Week website.
