Summer in the Parks

Summer in the Parks is a day camp for children 5-12 years old and will run June 7, 2021 through July 30, Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 4:30pm at seven locations.  The cost of the program is $676.00 per child for the full 8-weeks. Lunch and snack provided.

All Summer in the Parks programs will follow CDC guidelines for licensed childcare and are limited to 25 participants per site.  All participants will be required to wear a mask and social distancing will be implemented. Most of the activities will be outside and follow a different theme each week.   The nearby recreation centers will be utilized for restrooms and inclement weather.  Field trips and swimming will not be offered. Financial assistance is available for Denver residents only (see below for more information).

The camps will be held at the following locations:

*Garfield Park will be the only location to be an outdoor program in a park setting. Pool restrooms will be available to campers.  Due to limited indoor access, the ages will be 7-12 for this site.  Garfield Park is supported by a Greater Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) grant and the program cost is reduced.  Only Denver residents that live in the zip code 80219 will be accepted. Lunch and snack will be provided. Field trips and swimming will not be offered

About After School Programs

The S.O.A.R. After School Program is a licensed child care program designed around four components of extended learning opportunities. Meaningful skill development is built around academics, sports and wellness, arts and culture, and community engagement. This safe and inclusive comprehensive program implemented by qualified youth developers, also incorporates healthy snacks daily. Students also have the opportunity to experience two field trips throughout the year. S.O.A.R. is committed to building a healthy after-school community; therefore we ask that students attend program daily.
