Denver’s Office of Climate Action, Sustainability, and Resiliency (CASR) works to enable a sustainable, resilient, climate-safe future for all of Denver in collaboration with fellow departments, other units of government, and community partners. We lead the development of innovative programs, policy, and community-based services. CASR ensures that our goals are aligned with current climate science, promotes the role that climate action and sustainability play in strengthening Denver's economic vitality and a prosperous future for all, and embraces equity as a value and practice in all its work. CASR is responsible for managing the Climate Protection Fund (CPF), which will disburse $35M annually for climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience initiatives. Learn more at www.denvergov.org/sustainability.

CASR's Finance and Administration Division handles day-to-day office operations; develops, administers, and oversees contracts with vendors and technical consultants; and manages annual budgets as well as grants and projects. We have an opening for an Administrator II - Solicitations and Contracts. This position plays an integral role in investing and leveraging funds in solutions that translate program goals into measurable results that benefit Denver’s climate change mitigation work. This position serves as the subject matter expert on all solicitations (RFP, RFI, RFQ) and contract processes within CASR and provides leadership for the function across all business units. This position also manages strategy, partner engagement, policies and procedures and training and support for CASR team members, assists project managers with developing scopes of work, coordinates review by other agencies (e.g., City Attorney’s Office, Division of Small Business Opportunity, Risk Management), assists with key citywide requirements and Executive Orders based on contract amounts and levels of approval required, provides customer service to vendors to facilitate solicitation and/or contracting process, continuously improves processes to maximize efficiency and evaluates performance based on objective metrics.
