Building upon the success of the country's first city-led conference dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) for social good, Denver’s Department of Technology Services released a request for proposal (RFP) seeking innovative AI vendors to transform city operations and improve the resident experience. This initiative underscores the city’s commitment to becoming a leader in the AI space and leveraging cutting-edge technology to address complex challenges.
"The ideas discussed at DenAI Summit last fall showcased the potential of AI to transform our city for the better," said Mayor Mike Johnston. “We’re thrilled to continue that momentum and find partners who share our commitment to responsible AI development to create innovative solutions that serve Denverites every day."
The purpose of the RFP is to establish a pre-qualified bench of AI vendors who can deliver innovative, scalable, and secure AI solutions that are tailored to the city’s needs. The RFP will evaluate vendors based on their technical capabilities, innovation potential, compliance with security standards, scalability, and cost efficiency.
“We are excited to partner with forward-thinking innovators to harness the power of AI and create a smarter, more responsive city,” said Suma Nallapati, Denver’s Chief Information Officer. “This RFP represents a significant step towards realizing our vision of leveraging technology to improve city performance and the quality of life for all Denver residents.”
To be considered, vendors must submit a proposal online by April 15.
