I started my career with the City and County of Denver as a Public Safety Cadet, then went on to work as a Security Specialist and Deputy before being promoted to Sergeant in 2019. As a Denver native, I grew up in Park Hill attending Denver Public Schools, finally graduating from Thomas Jefferson (Go Spartans!) in 2000. I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communication at the University of Colorado, Denver. I have dedicated my career to giving back to the community in which I grew up, striving to earn the respect and confidence of our diverse neighborhoods across this great city. My goal for the Denver Sheriff Department (DSD) is to help build an exceptional agency by finding strong candidates who strive to serve with their humanity. I joined the DSD after years of watching, and learning from, a long line of family members who developed their careers within this department; they helped guide my path and I hope to provide that same support to others joining the team.

I started my Career with the Denver Sheriff Department (DSD) in 1999. My first assignment was at the Denver County Jail (COJL) where I was assigned to one of the buildings there that we call Building 20. While at the COJL, I was assigned to Work Release (which is no longer a program offered at the DSD) and Community Corrections. In 2012, however, I moved to the Correctional Care Medical Facility at Denver Health, where medical needs are met for correctional care patients in a guarded and locked unit within the hospital. In 2021, almost ten years after working at Denver Health, I was reassigned to COJL until I became a member of the Recruitment Team a year later. I'm happy to be here and excited to meet you!
