Land Quality is an important aspect to help keep Denver and its communities thriving and healthy. Our land is a vital part of the city's ecosystem and needs to be maintained and cared for as much as the air and water. Since all of these resources are symbiotic, here you will learn how Environmental Quality is working hard to ensure that the Land Quality in Denver reflects our efforts to create a healthier environment for all.

Land Planning

The Environmental Quality Division (EQD) addresses a wide array of overlapping land use issues such as the relationship between land use and transportation systems, the relationship between economic development and environmental protection, open space preservation, brownfield redevelopment, transboundary environmental issues, and environmental justice. EQD also utilizes its resources to assist Denver in land use planning that creates more connectivity and promotes healthy communities and lifestyles.
