Overview

As part of our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement, the Denver Police Department has launched a series of performance dashboards aimed at providing timely and accurate data related to crime, calls for service, officer-involved shootings, community engagement, and officer complaints.

Crime Map

Use our interactive data map to visualize crime activity in your area!

This map includes criminal offenses in the City and County of Denver for the previous 6 months. The data is based on the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) which includes all victims of person crimes and all crimes within an incident. The data is dynamic, which allows for additions, deletions and/or modifications at any time, resulting in more accurate information in the database. Due to continuous data entry, the number of records in subsequent extractions are subject to change. Crime data is updated Monday through Friday. Overall Crime Dashboard

The following dashboard allows you to explore reported crime data in Denver. Data is based on the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS), which includes all victims of person crimes and all crimes within an incident. There are four views, Year-to-Date Totals, Last 28 Days Totals, Last 180 Days Total, and Complete Past Years, which you can toggle between using buttons below the ‘Crime in Denver | Summary of Reported Crime’ header. The NIBRS Crime Definitions button will take you to the data dictionary explaining which crimes make up each crime category. You can select the Neighborhood or Police District of interest using the dropdown arrows and the tables will adjust accordingly. To clear Neighborhood or District selection, simply hover over the Neighborhood and Police District boxes and click the eraser icon that appears. The data is updated daily (Mon-Fri), however there is a two day lag due to sheer volume of reports and data processing. Various Theft Crime Dashboards

The following dashboard allows you to explore reported thefts in Denver pertaining to catalytic converter, bicycle theft, and package theft. The navigation arrows at the bottom of dashboard will allow you to toggle between these theft crime types. Data is year-to-date and updated daily- please refer to the Date Last Updated in the top right corner to see the most recent data included. You can select the Police District of interest using the dropdown arrows and the tables will adjust accordingly. To clear the District selection, simply hover over the Police District box and click the eraser icon that appears.
