November 28: All Denver Recreation Centers closed in observance of Thanksgiving
December 24: All centers will close at 2:00 p.m. for Christmas Eve
December 25: All recreation centers closed for Christmas Day
December 31: All centers will close at 2:00 p.m. for New Year's Eve
January 1: All centers closed for New Year's Day

Denver Recreation Centers are closed on city-observed holidays. Outdoor pools close during inclement weather when lightning is nearby or temperatures are forecasted to remain below 65 degrees. Emergency closures for unexpected maintenance, power outages, etc. may not be posted online unless they are expected to last for a significant portion of the day or longer. To verify center schedules and hours of operation, please call the facility directly.

Hiawatha Davis Jr. is a Local Level recreation center in the northeast area located off of MLK Jr. Blvd and Holly St. This facility features weight and cardio equipment, a gym, a game room, and meeting rooms that are available to rent. The multi-purpose room includes white boards, a pull down screen, and access to the kitchen. Aqua Aerobics and Swim Lessons are offered at this center.

Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center also offers a free meal program for youth, along with free membership for youth through the MY Denver Card program. View the facility photo gallery.
