About Recreation Center Rentals

Denver’s 30 Recreation Centers offer a variety of meeting spaces for special events, school trips, athletic activities and business functions. Facilities include classrooms, kitchens, gymnasiums, fitness rooms, swimming pools, game rooms and indoor tracks.

With a variety of centers and room sizes, Denver Parks & Recreation (DPR) is capable of hosting small, mid-size, and large events including birthday and graduation parties, family reunions, corporate events and meetings.


Rental Timeline

Applications will only be accepted for dates within the current quarter. Any applications submitted for dates outside the quarterly booking timeline will automatically be denied.

Recreation Center Rentals follow a quarterly booking timeline: 

Winter Quarter 2022-

  • Dates: 1/1/2022 – 3/7/2022
  • registration opens: 11/9/2021

Spring Quarter 2022-

  • Dates: 3/8/2022 – 5/16/2022
  • Registration opens: 2/22/2022

Summer Quarter 2022-

  • Dates: 5/17/2022 – 8/8/2022
  • Registration opens: 5/3/2022

Fall Quarter 2022-

  • Dates: 8/9/2022 – 11/14/2022
  • Registration opens: 7/26/22

Winter Quarter 2023-

  • Dates: 11/15/2022 – 3/6/2023
  • Registration opens: 11/8/2022


How to Submit a Rental Application

Application Steps
  1. Review the Recreation Facility Permitting Policy
  2. Submit your request no later than 2 weeks prior to desired rental date. For rentals with less than 2 weeks' advance notice, and after-hour rentals, contact center directly
  3. Download instructions for online booking (PDF) to ensure the process goes smoothly.
  4. Visit the DPR Online Service Center and start your application.
  5. Rental applications will receive a response within four (4) business days.

Payment Schedule & Permit Requirements


There is no fee to apply for a Recreation Center rental permit, either online or in person. Fees will be added to the permit application once availability of the requested rental space is confirmed.

Permit Requirements

Once space availability is confirmed, the following requirements must be met no later than 7 calendar days prior to the event to obtain the rental permit:

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancelations must be submitted to the Recreation Center Rental team at or 720-865-0548.

  • Cancelations submitted seven (7) or more calendar days before the reservation date – a full refund will be issued
  • Cancelations submitted less than seven (7) calendar days before the reservation date – no refund will be issued.

Recreation Facility Permitting Policy

What type of equipment is available?

Additional equipment, such as projectors or sound systems are available, upon request.

What is the alcohol and smoking policy?

Alcoholic beverages, smoking, and the use of smoking devices is prohibited.


Can we decorate?

Yes. All decorations, setup and cleanup time must be included in the
requested permit time. Decorations must not cause permanent damage to any standing structure in the facility. Confetti, birdseed, and rice are not permitted on the property. We do not provide linens, tableware, etc.

Can we host an event after the building is closed?

Contact the center for specific details. Additional fees will apply.


Is entertainment allowed?

Yes. Music and noise must be kept at a reasonable volume level and is up to the discretion of recreation staff.


What about catering?

You may use any catering service you like. No restrictions.


What if I want to have a birthday party in the swimming pool?
