Cook Park Improvements

Project Background

Cook (Judge Joseph E) Park, located in the Virginia Village neighborhood, received upgrades to the playground, basketball court and walks as a part of the Elevate Denver Bond Program and Denver Parks and Recreation’s Legacy Fund and Capital Improvement Program.

Based on community input, the concept plan for the playground includes sensory play, surfacing, and other play elements like a cozy dome, roller slide, we-saw, and we-go-round have been incorporated to emphasize inclusivity and play for all.  Design was completed in 2022, construction began early 2023 and was completed in October 2023..
