Focused Indigenous Restoration Environmental Stewardship (F.I.R.E.S.) program offers young adults the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in wildfire mitigation, forest restoration, and environmental stewardship while earning a stipend and education award.
Through this paid summer program with Mile High Youth Corps, participants work outdoors protecting forests, learning land management techniques, and developing valuable skills for careers in conservation, forestry, wildfire prevention, and natural resource management.
Crew members train alongside experienced Tribal members and conservation professionals while helping improve forest health and reduce wildfire risk.
