Public Parking Lots and Garages

There are currently seven surface public parking lots managed by DOTI Parking Operations. These public parking lots are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all visitors and guests attending activities in the downtown area. All of these parking lots are managed, under contract, by a professional parking company.

Morning/Daytime and Evening Hourly Rates (non-event times) – Pay at time of parking

Rates vary from $3 to $25 depending on the lot location and time of day. Cash and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and Discover) are accepted.  

A person with a mobility disability using a valid disability placard, license plate or hangtag issued to them may park in a space marked as reserved for use by those with disabilities (formerly referred to as "handicap parking"). The placard or plate must be current and displayed on the vehicle.

• There is no free parking at any time.
• No in-and-out parking is allowed. A new purchase must be made when re-entering the lot.
• No oversized vehicles or trailers are allowed. 
• Bicycles, skateboards, and roller-skates/blades are not allowed in the lots.
• Soliciting and/or distribution of literature is strictly prohibited.
• The parking lot speed limit is 5 mph.
• Pre-paid coupons or parking passes are not valid when the lot is full or closed.
• Improperly parked vehicles are subject to ticketing (private or City & County of Denver issued) and towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.
• Fees are for the temporary use of a parking stall only, no bailment is created. 
• The owners and operators of the surface parking lots assume no liability and hereby declare themselves not responsible for fire, theft, damage to or loss of vehicle, or any article left therein.

Event Parking Rates

Advertised event rates are posted at the entrance and vary from $5 to $16. Posted event rates supersedes hourly rates.  Event parkers must exit the garage by 11:59 pm or incur additional parking fees. 

Garage Entrance
The entrance is located on 12th Avenue between Broadway and Acoma Street. The Complex Garage address is 65 West 12th Avenue, Denver, CO  80204

Features

• Electric Vehicle charging stations — available on 3rd floor of the Cultural Center Complex garage. Charging at these stations is currently free with paid admission to the garage. If you have questions please contact the Parking Manager at 303-607-9093.
• Accessible parking — Designated ADA accessible parking is available on level P2. A valid state issued disability placard or license plate is required at all times. All accessible parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Vehicle Exiting Procedures

• Hourly parkers — Scan your ticket received upon entry at the pay station located on the 1^st floor elevator lobby (cash or credit card) or at exit gate (credit card only). 

Lost or Missing Entry Ticket
Vehicles unable to present a valid entry ticket/slip will be required to pay the Lost Ticket Fee. Please make sure you keep your timed entry ticket to avoid additional charges.

• No in and out parking is allowed.
• No trailers or oversized vehicles are allowed.
• Bicycles, skateboards, and roller-skates/blades are not allowed in the garage.
• Soliciting and/or distribution of literature is prohibited.
• The garage speed limit is 5 mph.
• Pre-paid coupons or passes are not valid when the garage is full or closed.

Monthly Parking
Monthly public parking is currently not available at this garage location.  

Garage Entrance

The garage entrance is located on N. Delaware Street between West 14th Avenue and West 13th Avenue. The garage address is 490 West 14th Avenue, Denver, CO  80204

Features

• Pre-paid event parking permit — Pre-paid permits can be purchased in advance for large events or functions.  Event organizers are encouraged to contact the garage parking management office at (303) 640-1096 for more details. 
• Accessible parking — Designated ADA accessible parking is available on level P2, next to the elevator lobby.  A valid state issued disability placard or license plate is required at all times. All accessible parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and payment is required for parking in these stalls.

• Maximum vehicle height clearance is 8' 2".
• There is no free parking at any time.
• Levels 2 and 3 are shared with the US Post Office. Postal customers and employee parking stalls are clearly marked for their exclusive use only. Individuals parking in designated USPS parking locations and not conducting business in the Post Office are subject to ticketing.
• No in and out parking is allowed on a single stall number payment.
• No trailers or oversized vehicles are allowed.
• Bicycles, skateboards, and roller-skates/blades are not allowed in the garage.
• Soliciting and/or distribution of literature is prohibited.
• The garage speed limit is 5 mph.
• Pre-paid coupons or passes are not valid when the garage is full or closed.

Please arrive early and explore alternative transportation or nearby parking options.

There is no free parking at the Arts Complex. The Arts Complex garage quickly fills with daytime events, evening performances, and downtown traffic. It often reaches capacity on evenings and weekends, causing congestion in the surrounding streets before shows. If you are attending a scheduled event, please remember to plan for traffic, parking and finding your seats.

Please note, payment options at the Arts Complex Garage include: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay. We do not accept cash or American Express. There is a reverse ATM, cash-to-card machine located on the Galleria near the elevator banks closest to 14th Street.

Event Rates apply all day Saturday and Sunday, and begin two hours before large events. View the monthly Event Rate Calendar for start times.

Two Garage Entrances

The Garage has two entrances:

• Off 13th Street between Arapahoe and Champa Streets
• Off Arapahoe between 13th and 14th Streets

Arts Complex Garage General Information

• Located on-site at the Arts Complex and can accommodate 1,550 vehicles
• 24/7 automated access
• The height clearance is 6'10"
• Accessible parking is located on all levels near the elevators
• Electric Vehicle spots are available on Level 4. Charging at these spots is limited to four hours.
• Garage is cashless on entry and exit
• Cash is accepted only during hourly rate timeframes for pay-on-exit when paying at the pay-on-foot machines in the Galleria prior to departure
• Garage accepts: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay. We do not accept cash or American Express. There is a reverse ATM, cash-to-card machine located on the Galleria near the elevator banks closest to 14th Street.

Most public lots and garages  accept cash payments. 

• The Arts Complex Parking Garage does not accept cash for pre-pay for events or at the exit gates. Cash is only accepted at the Pay-on-Foot machines in the Galleria for Non-Event Morning/Daytime hourly rates.

City lots and garages accept major US credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and Discover).

Go to m.paybyphone.com on your mobile device to download the iPhone or Android app.

To use the service, create a free PayByPhone account on the mobile app (on iOS and Android devices), the web app at www.paybyphone.com, or by phone 24/7 at 888-680-7275 (the account will be activated immediately and the parking session can be started on the initial phone call). The following information is required to set up an account:

• Mobile phone number
• Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover)
• License plate of car(s)

The next time you call or log on, your details will be automatically recognized.

3 — Enter Location

• Enter the location number posted on the PayByPhone signs
• Enter stall number (if required)

4 — Enter Time

Select a parking duration. 

5 — Confirm Payment

With our Pay-on-Foot payment system, parking is easy and convenient. Unless specifically instructed to do so, there is no need to display your receipt.

Surface Lots and Justice Center Garage

• Park in any non-reserved stall and immediately proceed to the automated pay station located within the parking lot or garage.
• Purchase your parking using your license plate number and then proceed directly to your destination.

Other Parking Garages

• Pull a ticket upon entry into the parking garage (during non-event times only)
• Park in a non-reserved stall
• When ready to leave, proceed to the automated Pay-on-Foot station located within the parking garage, scan your ticket and pay at the machine with cash or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover)
• Scan your ticket to exit and leave prior to the grace period

Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted for event parking and at drive up pay stations in the Arts Complex Garage.
