Daytime warming centers are activated for Friday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 24. Denver Parks and Recreation will open all currently operating recreation centers as daytime warming centers during regular business hours.Denver's cold weather shelters will open at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16 and will remain open as long as cold weather conditions continue.
The City Spirit employee appreciation events take place once a year to honor and thank our hard-working city employees. The events typically take place in the summer months and includes lunch, games, prizes and more. The turnout at the City Spirit events in Civic Center and Rude parks in September 2023 was astounding. We had blue skies, food, music and lots of games for everyone to enjoy.
City Spirit events are only open to City and County of Denver employees; these are not public events. You'll need to show your employee ID to take part.
