Mayor's YouthWorks Initiative

The Mayor's YouthWorks Initiative is a summer youth employment and retention program aimed at helping Denver's youth aged 14-21 find and retain a summer job. The City and County of Denver is dedicated to creating pathways to employment opportunities for youth, especially those facing socio-economic challenges.   

Why participate?

  • Earn $1,000! Work over 100 hours by August 16, 2024 and get a $1,000 stipend!
  • Discover Your Future! Explore different career paths and learn skills that will help you in any job.
  • Grow & Thrive! Build confidence, gain independence, and watch yourself grow! 

Eligibility: 

  • Live in the City and County of Denver
  • Be 14-21 years old 
  • Show proof of income
  • Commit to work over 100 hours by August 16, 2024

Applications were open from May 20 to June 30, 2024 and are now closed.

After application approval and completion of all required paperwork and forms, the retention stipend will be distributed through rolling payouts by August 30, 2024.
