S.R. DeBoer Park
S.R. DeBoer Park located in South Denver was named after Saco Rienk DeBoer (1883-1974) who was one of Denver's most influential landscape architects and early city planners. The prominent Denver landscape architect was also the coauthor of the city’s first zoning code. The park designs he created for Denver are beautiful, however the city zoning he created in the 1920s is now considered exclusionary and discriminatory.
