Most City and County of Denver offices will be closed Monday, November 11 in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.
HRCP’s nonprofit programming aims to promote the wellbeing of Denver’s nonprofit sector. Our programming includes conducting research and program development, educating nonprofits, streamlining the contracting process with the city, and fostering the relationship between the nonprofit sector and the city.
Nonprofits provide vital services to many communities in Denver, and HRCP’s nonprofit programming supports these organizations so they can continue to serve their communities.
The Recovery Grants are for Denver-based or Denver-serving nonprofits that needed financial support to assist with recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionally impacted the nonprofit sector in Denver, particularly in the areas of financial, staffing, programming, and fund development, making it difficult for our local nonprofits to meet the needs of the communities they serve.

In partnership with Radian, D-ONE created the BUILD Scholarship Program to support small nonprofits that needed office space during the pandemic but couldn’t afford it. The BUILD Scholarship Program gave nonprofits access to free office space, a supportive community, event space and networking opportunities with other nonprofits within the program. The program prioritized BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving nonprofits with low operational budgets.
In partnership with the Nonprofit Finance Fund, D-ONE launched the Metro Denver Loan Fund. The Metro Denver Loan Fund provided loans to qualifying individual nonprofit organizations so nonprofits can assess their business operations and adapt to the changing environment. Overall, this supported the continuation of nonprofit sector’s services by ensuring sustainability. This allowed community members to continue accessing vital services during and following the COVID-19 pandemic.
