The Denver construction industry has a high demand for qualified and capable construction talent at all levels. Denver Economic Development & Opportunity (DEDO) is committed to ensuring that Denver residents benefit from the unprecedented investments being made in the city's infrastructure. Our goal is to strengthen training and job placement for large public projects, building income and wealth for residents today while we also build Denver’s workforce of the future.

The Denver Construction Careers Program (DCCP) sets and monitors target hire and apprentice utilization goals on city infrastructure projects with a construction value of $10M and above. These include projects from the city’s largest agencies including the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) and Denver International Airport (DEN).

DCCP Construction Careers Contribution Fund

Denver has collected a modest, voluntary contribution with building permit fees to fund youth-focused construction careers and talent development efforts.

Approved Pre-Apprenticeship Programs

DCCP encourages contractors on publicly funded projects to hire graduates from certified pre-apprenticeship programs. Get your program approved by DCCP today!
