Community and Neighborhoods

Picture of Denver and neighborhoods from above the tree line

Denver Economic Development & Opportunity works with local neighborhoods across Denver to advance community development, mitigate displacement and preserves the culture and character of Denver’s neighborhoods by providing access to resources, elevating community voices, and supporting equitable growth.

Based on analyses of 10 integrated data points from the NEST Index, our NEST efforts are focused on the following neighborhoods, in addition to any other areas of Denver undergoing large-scale development: Athmar Park, Barnum, Barnum West, Clayton, College View, East Colfax, Elyria Swansea, Globeville, Kennedy, Lincoln Park, Mar Lee, Montbello, Ruby Hill, Sun Valley, Valverde, Villa Park, Westwood, and Windsor.
