Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) will be making improvements along Green Valley Ranch Boulevard, between Chambers and Tower Roads, to help move more people, safely, along this two-mile stretch whether they're walking, riding a bike, or in a car. This project will include the following travel enhancements:
- Phase 1 - Sidewalks: Provide better pedestrian connectivity along the corridor by constructing a new 8-foot detached sidewalk to fill in the gap between Peña Boulevard and Telluride Street on the south side of Green Valley Ranch Boulevard.
- Phases 2 and 3 - Upgrading Landscaped Medians so they are raised with concrete curb to better separate travel lanes and visually narrow the roadway to help slow vehicle speeds.
- Adding a traffic signal on Green Valley Ranch Boulevard at Kittredge Street for better movement of all travel modes at the intersection.
- New Protected Bike Lanes to separate bikes from vehicles and reduce conflicts, as well as connecting people on bikes to a new bike lane east of Tower Road.
Construction of the new sidewalk is anticipated to begin in spring 2022. Other enhancements are still in the design phase with anticipated construction to start later in 2022.
