La Alma-Lincoln Park NTMP — 2020

Project Background

The La Alma-Lincoln Park neighborhood was selected as the fifth neighborhood to go through the NTMP Action Plan collaboration process. The neighborhood is just south of downtown Denver, spanning from the South Platte River to the east, Speer Blvd to the west, Colfax Ave to the north, and 6th Ave to the south. La Alma-Lincoln Park ranked high in the NTMP prioritization model which incorporated the following factors: growth pressure, safety, transportation equity, and multimodal demand.

The La Alma-Lincoln Park Action Plan:

  • Identified and will deliver specific, near-term transportation and mobility enhancement projects;
  • Identified and will deliver operational improvements such as daylighting intersections by pulling parking back from the intersection, installing crosswalks, installing signage; and,
  • Identified longer term actions that can be delivered through future projects.

The NTMP collected and gathered community feedback and ideas on neighborhood transportation priorities, issues, and enhancements which informed the neighborhood-scale projects shown on the final report.
