You can get into many Denver area museums for $1-3. The Explorer Pass works at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Denver Zoo, History Colorado Center, and many other places!

How do I use my Explorer Pass?

The Explorer Pass is built into your Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card. Just present your EBT card when buying tickets! Some places need reservations, or have coupon codes you can use online.

The Butterfly Pavilion accepts SNAP, EBT, WIC, P-EBT, and cards from out-of-state. To access these discounted tickets, guests need to come in person and present their card to the front desk.

Center for Colorado Women's History

$1 (up to 10 guests).

Admission for children 18 and under is always free.

This discounted admission works for both General Admission and Museum Tours.

No reservation required. If you plan on visiting with a group of 8 or more people, please email CCWH@state.co.us ahead of your visit.

From the museum: General Admission permits guests a self-guided experience through several rooms of the historic house onsite, which feature belongings of the home's former residents; rotating installations and exhibits; and decor and art of a bygone era. The Museum Tour is a docent-led experience through the entirety of the historic house in which guests learn about some of the women who lived in the home in connection to broader themes of gender history. Denver Art Museum

$1 (up to 10 people per SNAP EBT card)

This special discount is only available for purchase in person.

SNAP discounted tickets must be purchased in person at the museum. This discount cannot be combined with other discounts, and does not include special ticketed exhibitions.

Denver Museum of Nature and Science
$1 per person, up to 10 people

The $1 discounted admission is for general admission only, and doesn't include the Infinity Theatre or the Planetarium.

Your EBT card also gets you a discounted admission for special exhibits. Just ask when you buy your ticket.

Remember to show your card (digital or physical) when visiting the museum to get the discount.


History Colorado Center $1

No blackout date or times for the SNAP admission. The SNAP ticket is only for general admission tickets and not valid for any special programs. Children 18 and under are now free at all the History Colorado Center, and at all of its community museums.

Molly Brown House Museum $2

Your Explorer Pass admission gives you entry to the "Explore on Your Own" self-guided tour option. It is good for up to four tickets. To get the discounted price, use “SNAP” as the coupon code when checking out online. You must apply it to each ticket individually.

Wings Over the Rockies - Air & Space Museum $1

What is the Explorer Pass?

The Explorer Pass is available for Colorado SNAP recipients. It is built into your EBT card. With the Explorer Pass, you can get a $1-3 general admission at many different Denver area museums and cultural centers. At some museums, you can get up to 10 tickets at the discounted price!

Please note that the discount is good only for general admission. Your EBT card cannot be used to purchase admission tickets, at gift shops, or at cafés/restaurants. Tickets for special exhibits must be purchased separately and cannot be purchased with your Explorer Pass (EBT card).

The discounted admission offer may not be valid on event days. Be sure to check website of each museum/cultural center for special event days before you head out.
