The GIVE Center provides free, essential services and items to Denver residents in need, including families, foster youth, and people experiencing homelessness.

Our services have moved to our new location at the Denver Human Services Welcome Center (2929 W. 10th Ave., Denver, CO 80204). We are open Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Se habla español.

 

What You Need To Know

Who does the GIVE Center serve?

During normal business hours, resources and services from our GIVE Center are available to all Denver residents in need of essential items or services. No referral is needed and you do not need to be a Denver Human Services customer.

What items can I get at the GIVE Center?

We can connect you to essential hygiene items such as:

  • Diapers
  • Formula
  • Wipes
  • Shampoo
  • Soap
  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • Other hygiene products

Customers are limited to five hygiene items per month and 10 emergency diapers and wipes once every 90 days.

Additionally, we can also provide referrals to community partners for additional services, fee waivers for Colorado state IDs and birth certificates, and more.

Customers may visit the GIVE Center once per month for services, including hygiene items and resource navigation. Customer may visit as often as needed for New Eyes for the Needy assistance.

What other services and resources do you provide?

Our resource navigators serve as liaisons between our customers and community partners. We refer clients to community-based resources, including:

  • Food pantries
  • Clothing banks
  • Shelter/housing resources
  • Hot meal sites
  • Utility and rental assistance
  • Eye glasses referrals through New Eyes for the Needy
  • Re-entry service providers
  • Baby and prenatal resources
  • Senior support
  • Disability services
  • Mental health resources
  • Legal aid
  • Other lifeline resources

Where is your office? When are you open?

Our services have moved to our new location (2929 W. 10th Ave., Denver, CO 80204), across the street from our old location at the Richard T. Castro Denver Human Services building.

The GIVE Center is open Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Se habla español.

 

How can I volunteer?

Volunteers help foster, homeless and disadvantaged children, veterans, individuals, and families, and help make Denver a better place to live.

To protect the health and safety of our community Denver residents, we do not currently have volunteer opportunities. Please contact Mile High United Way for more information about ways to give back to our community at this time.

How can I donate and what's needed?

There are several ways to make a donation and support our GIVE Center. Learn how to "Be A Giver" and donate to various causes, like our seasonal community drives, through Denver Human Services.
