Housing, Chores, and In-Home Care

  • Sunshine Home Share Colorado is a nonprofit organization working to improve the quality of life of older adults and strengthen communities through a safe home-sharing model, supportive economic empowerment, and connections to resources and services. Sunshine is funded by the City of Denver and is a creative affordable housing solution. Many older adults struggle to pay for rising costs including property taxes and face challenges trying to maintain their homes and yards.

Home sharing is a way to be part of the affordable housing solution and help someone in need while earning extra income. The nonprofit home-sharing process is designed to support sharing your home safely while finding a housemate who is a good fit. Social worker staff support the slow, safe, and thoughtful home-sharing process creating a mutually beneficial relationship between the home provider and home seeker. To learn more and see if home sharing is the right solution for you, please visit our website at Sunshinehomeshare.org or call 303.915.8264.
