Flavored Tobacco Ban

Councilwoman Sawyer and Councilwoman Ortega co-sponsored a ban of flavored tobacco products in Denver to help protect the health, safety, and welfare of Denverites.

Councilwoman Sawyer and Councilwoman Ortega held two town halls to discuss the potential legislation:

August 10th Town Hall focusing on industry.

August 13th Town Hall focusing on school and children.

While this bill passed Council, it was vetoed by the Mayor and ultimately did not become law.
