City Council Committees

Committees are where most legislation is introduced, get debated and shaped before going to the full council for final debate and votes.  Following committees is a great way to learn about proposed laws and how they might impact our communities.

To keep up with what’s happening, sign up for the Weekly Schedule Summary. It comes out every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and tells you which committees are meeting the next week and what they’ll talk about. It also has links to watch meetings live or catch the video later.
