Cooling Centers open August 6-9

Denver Parks and Recreation will open all currently operating recreation centers to the public as cooling centers during regular business hours.

Denver Central Library will open at 11 a.m. and extend hours to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Carla Madison Recreation Center will open at 8 a.m. and extend hours until 8 p.m. on both days.

Landmark Preservation Design Review Process

Landmark Preservation staff, the Landmark Preservation Commission (LPC) and the Lower Downtown Design Review Commission (LDDRC), review the design of all exterior projects that require building or zoning permits at individual landmark properties and properties in historic districts. Landmark Preservation also reviews all curb cuts and encroachment permit applications for these properties. Design review ensures that proposed alterations preserve the key character-defining features and historic qualities of each property.
