Healthy Homes Program

Denver has partnered with BlocPower and Energy Outreach Colorado to launch the Healthy Homes Program. With the Healthy Homes Program, 100 low- to moderate-income households in multifamily residences and 100 single-family low- to moderate-income homes will have access to affordable building upgrades. In addition, there are cash incentives to replace gas appliances with electric induction stoves and heat pump heating and cooling systems specifically designed for cold climate performance. These improvements deliver health and economic benefits to families throughout Denver that need them most.

You may qualify for this program if all of the following are true: 

For renters and owners of single family homes:

  • You rent or own a single-family home, townhome, or mobile home
  • Your household has a total income at or below 80% of Average Median Income (AMI)
  • At least one person in your household has a respiratory condition
  • You live in the City and County of Denver

For renters and owners of small multifamily buildings (duplexes, apartment complexes, multiplexes, and condos):

  •  You own or rent a multifamily home (duplex, triplex, quadplex, multiplex, condo, or apartment building) in the City and County of Denver
  • At least 66% of your building/ units have a total income at or below 80% Average Median Income (AMI) or at or below rent limits corresponding to 60% AMI
  • At least one person in your building has a respiratory condition OR the building is in a NEST (or otherwise health-burdened) neighborhood as determined by relevant criteria from Colorado's EnviroScreen Score.
