Incentives for Income Qualified Homes

Income-qualified residents are eligible for extra incentives. To qualify, apply through the Energy Resource Center. The Energy Resource Center will submit applications on your behalf. Contractors or individual residents should not do this themselves.  

 

How do I know if I'm income-qualified? 

To be considered "Income-Qualified”, you must meet one of the following:

  • Colorado Weatherization Assistance Program
    • Receive FREE energy efficiency evaluations and upgrades
    • Households with an annual income up to $52,400 for a family of four and those that qualify for LEAP, SSI, SNAP, TANF, AND, or OAP, may qualify
    • Free energy services include insulation, HVAC upgrades, light bulb replacements, appliance replacements, and more.

  • Colorado Affordable Residential Energy Program (CARE)
    • Receive FREE energy efficiency evaluations and upgrades
    • Households with an annual income up to $80,0000 for a family of 4 (80% of the area median) may qualify
    • Free energy efficiency upgrades include energy audits, emergency repairs, and equipment replacement from Energy Outreach Colorado.

  • Colorado Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)
    • Get help paying a portion of your winter home heating costs
    • Households with a monthly gross income up to $4,561 for a family of 4 (60% of the state median) may qualify for heating assistance this winter through LEAP.
