Green Workforce Mini Grant

Purpose

The goal of this funding is to provide up to $49,000 to:

• Help organizations find and fill gaps in Denver’s green workforce.
• Develop or launch green credentials and curricula that:
  
  • Equip workers with skills for quality green careers.
  • Prioritize underrepresented and underserved workers.

Funding supports training that leads to quality careers in:

• Clean Energy: Building electrification, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.
• Electric Vehicle Technology: Assembly and maintenance, infrastructure, and battery storage.
• Natural Resource Management: Water quality, tree care, ecological restoration, and deconstruction for materials recovery.  

Eligibility

You can apply if you are a nonprofit, training provider (including for-profit groups with apprenticeships or training programs), community college, or technical college

• Nonprofits, training providers, community colleges, and technical colleges can apply.
• The proposal must describe the program design model for Denver employers and Denver Metro candidates.
• We encourage an emphasis on recruiting Denver NEST neighborhood community members.
• Eligible proposals must have a timeline of no more than 12 months.
