Search for Records

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to a technological issue, some document images are unavailable for viewing online. These documents may appear as unverified. If you come across one, please contact the recording department for verification. Please note that only the following document types are affected: Deeds of Trust. However, indexing information is still available.

 

Remote access to recording and marriage services is available!

Due to capacity constraints, visitors to our office are limited to only the parties with appointments. 

Notice Regarding Recorded Documents
Recording a document with our office creates a permanent, public record of all the information in that document. Once recorded, your document will be available to the public online and in our archives in the office. 

Please be certain that you want to record documents in Denver County. Denver County cannot reject these recorded documents or issue refunds for recording fees due to an improper submission. 

Marriage Records

To search for our marriage records:

Step 1.Visit the online database

You do NOT need to create an account to search the database.

Step 2.Select Search Records as Guest and accept the disclaimer

Step 3.Set the Search Type as "Marriage / Civil Unions" 

Click "Marriage / Civil Unions" in the left pane of the search window.

Step 4.Enter your search criteria and hit the Search button

Step 5.Double click the line to open the record

You can then use the tool bars to view the record, download an electronic copy, or order a certified copy through the mail.

Land Records

Step 1.Visit the online database

You do NOT need to create an account to search the database.

Step 2.Select Search Records as Guest and accept the disclaimer

Step 3.Set the Search Type as "Names"

Click "Names" in the left pane of the search window.

Step 4.Enter your search criteria and hit Search

Step 5.Double click the line to open the record

You can then use the tool bars to view the record, download an electronic copy, or order a certified copy through the mail.

Other Records

In addition to documents available in the county recording database such as marriage and property records, the Office of the Clerk and Recorder is the custodian of various municipal records including:

  • City Ordinances, Resolutions, Proclamations, and Minutes
  • City Contracts and Agreements (excluding leases)
  • City Rules and Regulations
  • Oaths of Office for City and County officials
  • Miscellaneous documents placed in the public record as “City Clerk Files”

These documents are available upon request by emailing CityClerk@denvergov.org

Copies of these records do not require a formal request through the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA). Learn more about filing CORA requests.
