Statement from Hon. Clerk Paul D. López:
In light of last night’s news regarding a breach of passwords by the Secretary of State’s Office, we want you, our voters to know that Denver votes are safe and secure. While we are concerned that some system passwords were compromised, we have multiple safeguards and processes in place, and we practice for these scenarios.
We will continue to diligently monitor access to our systems and look forward to the results of the state investigation of the password breach. We have full confidence in the safety and security of our systems and will continue to work with the Secretary of State’s Office to ensure the integrity of our elections.
