Check the status of a license application

Pending business and individual license applicants can check the current application processing times at any time and at their convenience by using the dashboard below. Go to the dashboard, click on "license type" and choose the license you are searching for. You can narrow the search by choosing an option under "transaction type." The page will populate with the average processing time in days for what is chosen.

Reasons for delays in a license review

There could be several reasons why your license application is stalled or not approved. Some of the top reasons include, but aren't limited to:

  • The City and County of Denver is missing required documents from the applicant.
  • A license applicant not responding to requests from the City and County of Denver in a timely manner. If there are additional documents required, a request is sent via email. Be sure you are checking your email, including your spam folder, for communication from the City and County of Denver looking for additional documentation for your application.
  • Your license has not passed required inspections.
