SUPPORT

  • 62% of voters created the Climate Protection Fund to support citywide climate action.

  • Denver was rated #2 in the country for policies that advance building energy efficiency.

ON THE GO

  • 830,000 miles of car trips are replaced by the 10,588 new e-bikes we helped put on the road every year.
  • Our state is leading the way: As of December 2024, Colorado is #1 in the nation for market share of new electric vehicles.
  • Denver’s Shared Bike and Scooter Program is one of the most successful in the nation – logging over 24 million rides and replacing over 8 million car trips since 2018.

IN THE CITY

  • 50 million plastic bags were kept out of Denver since 2022.
  • Denver's park system is the 10th-best in the nation. 
  • 78,278 people compost using the city’s subscription-based service.
  • 31 multifamily buildings, churches, non-profits, and small businesses received support to upgrade to LEDS, electrify HVAC systems or install solar panels.
  • 26% more heat pumps and 38% more heat pump water heaters were permitted in 2025 than the year before.
  • From 2019 to 2025, Denver achieved a 20% overall reduction in emissions. Looking at the longer trend, emissions decreased approximately 36% from 2015 to 2025. 

IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

  • 4,500 trees were planted across the city in 2025.
  • 16 community solar gardens are powering buildings and homes with clean, renewable energy.
  • 2,250 homes and 620 commercial and multifamily buildings received city rebates to install energy-efficient heat pumps. 
  • 97% of Denverites live within a 10-minute walk of a park.

AT WORK

THE CAMPAIGN

  • The 2025 “Do more. Do less. Do something” behavior change campaign achieved 58% awareness among Denverites
  • The campaign had a significant positive effect on pro-climate actions, beliefs, and intentions.
  • The number of new climate-friendly actions respondents believe they will take in the next 3 months increased 24.7%.
  • People aware of the campaign were significantly more likely to take action in the next 12 months – from getting an EV, to replacing a solo trip with walking, biking, or taking public transit, to talking to family and friends about climate change.
