General Statement of Work
The City and County of Denver Department of Transportation & Infrastructure Wastewater Management Division requires a 3-year long contract to perform wastewater emergency repair construction work. This contract will be utilized on an as-needed basis for multiple emergency repairs. Contract term is three years and the maximum contract amount is $3,000,000.00 (contract amount is no guarantee of work). All work needs to follow City and County of Denver specifications, standard details, and criteria. The following is a general outline and description of work for the Emergency Repair to Wastewater Facility project for WMD Construction Operations. The work includes any construction repairs on wastewater facilities (ponds, outfall, etc…), water quality facilities (ponds, outfalls, trash racks, etc…), and sewer (storm and sanitary conduits) components including, but not limited to:

  • Excavations
  • Plumbing
  • Trucking
  • Paving
  • Landscaping
  • Reinforced concrete structures, etc.
  • Lift station and pump station repair is also needed

Prequalification: Each bidder must be prequalified in category 1A Heavy Civil at or above the $3,000,000.00 monetary level in accordance with the City’s Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors. Each bidder must have submitted a prequalification application a minimum of ten (10) calendar days prior to the response due date. Applications must be submitted via B2Gnow. Prevailing Wage and Minimum Wage: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C. City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 D.R.M.C.

As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
