General Statement of Work:

The City and County of Denver (City) is soliciting proposals for a Mechanical Contractor (MC) to provide Preconstruction, In-House Engineering, and Construction Services for multiple mechanical projects throughout the City of Denver.  Most projects are deferred maintenance and include equipment replacement or facility improvements.  Contract term is three years, and the maximum contract amount is $30,000,000.00 (contract amount is no guarantee of work). This contract may be awarded to up to two bidders.

MWBE Participation Goal: 10%

The requirement must be met with certified firms, §§ 28-62, 28-66, D.R.M.C., or through the demonstration of a sufficient good faith effort. §§ 28-60, 28-64, D.R.M.C. A proposed MWBE Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Plan (MWBE EDI Plan), also known as a Utilization Plan, is required as part of the RFP response and will be scored. DSBO’s approval of the MWBE EDI Plan will be required prior to contract execution.

Miscellaneous

Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C.

City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 D.R.M.C.

As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, proposals.
