General Statement of Work
GH Phipps is working in conjunction with the City of Denver, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure to procure General Contractors for this ADA improvement project.
The project includes correction of ADA non-compliant elements on the exterior of 4 different building locations: Denver Animal Shelter, East Side Office Building, Lindsay Flannigan Courthouse and Wellington Webb building. The renovations include selective demolition of the existing parking lot and sidewalks for new ADA compliant pathways, asphalt, new handicapped parking stalls and associated ramps, new and relocated interior toilet accessories and partitions, door modifications and plumbing and electrical modifications.
Pre-Proposal:
There will be a mandatory pre-proposal site visit scheduled for bidders: August 11th @ 8:00 AM. The pre-bid conferences will begin at Denver Animal Shelter, 1241 W. Bayaud Ave., Denver CO 80223. The pre-proposal meeting will visit all four project site locations in the following order: Denver Animal Shelter, Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse, Webb Building, East Side Office Building. Contractors are required to attend the pre-bid site visit to become familiar with the project scope and all locations.

Bid Due Date: August 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. local time.

Prevailing Wage and Minimum Wage: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, DRMC. City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 DRMC.
As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
