General Statement of Work
GH Phipps is working in conjunction with the City of Denver, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure to procure General Contractors for this ADA improvement project.
The project includes site demolition, sidewalks, curb and gutter, stairs, ramps, retaining walls, railings and barriers, lighting and utilities on 44th Ave between Delaware and Broadway. It will be the contractor’s responsibility to coordinate schedules with the various stakeholders to determine schedule as well as to provide separation of construction from staff and public. Contractor shall include the cost for all required permit fees in their bid. Permits will be reimbursed at cost, with no markup allowed. Plan Check fees will be paid when drawings are submitted for permit by Architect. The project is anticipated to start September of 2023 and is expected to be substantially complete in the 1st quarter of 2024. Contractor is to provide preliminary schedule for review with proposal. All Project Cost Proposals will require a Bid Bond on the amount of 10% of the total contract value.

Prevailing Wage and Minimum Wage: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, DRMC. City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 DRMC.
As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
