Child Care Assistance

Do you need help paying for child care? We might be able to help! The Denver County Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps families who qualify pay for child care for infants to children age 13 and special needs youth up to age 19. 

Parents who meet the following guidelines, may qualify for Denver CCAP.

  • Must live in Denver (if you live in another county, please apply in the county where you reside)
  • Address Verification
  • Photo ID for Parents
  • Certified copy of child’s birth certificate or other documents proving lawful presence in the U.S.
  • Proof of Household Income (including, but not limited to, pay stubs, child support and unemployment documentation)

*Income guidelines are subject to change at any time and a household's monthly income may never exceed 85% of the State Median Income. 

Please note: Eligible families may have to pay some of their child care costs to participate in the program. The family fee is based on income and the type of child care provider selected to care for a child. 

Apply for CCAP in any of the following ways: 

  1. Download an application, fill it out and mail or fax it to us. 
  2. Pick up an application, fill it out and drop it into one of the onsite CCAP Drop Boxes at 1200 Federal Blvd., 3815 Steele St. or at 4685 Peoria St. 
  3. Visit the Castro office (1200 Federal Blvd.) Monday-Thursday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to meet one-on-one with an application specialist to determine if you qualify.
