Registered Neighborhood Organizations (RNOs)
Learn more about Registered Neighborhood Organizations
RNOs will be notified of rezoning applications affecting areas located inside or within 200 feet of their established boundaries that will appear on upcoming Denver Planning Board and City Council public meeting agendas.  RNOs are encouraged to present their organizational positions for consideration in the rezoning decision-making process.

Denver Planning Board Public Hearings
When notified by email of upcoming Denver Planning Board public hearings, RNOs should hold a meeting at which the rezoning application is discussed, and a vote should be taken of the membership to express the organization's position (DRMC § 12-96).  Following this vote, the registered contact person should complete the RNO Position Statement form to report the results of the vote, and email the form to RNOresponses@denvergov.org.  The positions of the RNOs will be included with staff's presentation before the Planning Board.  Citizens are also welcome to address the Planning Board in person during Public Hearings by signing up prior to the beginning of the meeting.

City Council Public Hearings
Written protests concerning public hearing items on the City Council agenda must be filed with the City Council before Noon on the 7th day prior to the public hearing date.  City Council meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, Room 451, City and County Building (1437 Bannock St). Citizens wishing to address the Council must register to speak prior to the opening of the Public Hearing, and also be prepared to make their presentation during the Public Hearing portion of the meeting.   Questions regarding rezoning applications brought for Public Hearing may be directed to the City Council office at 720-865-9534, or to Community Planning and Development’s Plan Implementation section at 720-865-2993. Questions may also be directed to Joel Pousson at Joel.Pousson@denvergov.org.
