2002-2003 Change
The pages below detail the change in reported offenses from 2002 to 2003 for all 78 Denver Statistical Neighborhoods. The tables provide the number of crimes in 2002, 2003 and the difference. A percent change is then calculated by taking the difference divided by the number of crimes reported in 2002. The tables are sorted by the percent change.
Each page has a link providing a definition for each crime type and a link to a map portraying the increase or decrease from 2002 to 2003 for each neighborhood.
These tables should not be used to compare one neighborhhood with another. Neighborhoods that are large in geographic area or densely populated would probably have more crime reports than smaller or less densely populated areas. The data has to be normalized or adjusted for differences in size and population in order to be able to compare one neighborhood with another.
