The GRID project is focused on neighborhoods which have a presence of multiple risk factors which research has shown are common factors that "support" a presence of gangs. These factors include higher rates of violent crime, unemployment, drop-outs, poverty, and individuals involved with the criminal/juvenile justice system. GRID has identified 10 neighborhoods to serve as the initial pilot sites for the project. The ten neighborhoods include;

Harvey Park College View
Five Points Cole
Elyria-Swansea Northeast Park Hill
