Do your part to help the environment by recycling your old television, computer monitor and other used electronic equipment at the
“Screen to Green” E-Waste Recycling Event on
Saturday, June 28th. The “Screen to Green” E-Waste Recycling Event will be held at the
Auraria Campus in Denver from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Residents will be able to recycle their old televisions, computer monitors or anything with a screen at the reduced rate of only $5 per unit. The $5 fee will go towards the disassembly process required to recycle the electronics and their components. All other electronic equipment will be free to recycle at the event.

The responsible recycling of old electronics will help to prevent lead and other chemicals from leaching into the groundwater and into our atmosphere. Televisions and computers monitors contain 4 to 8 pounds of lead each, as well as many other metals and toxic materials. Also, recycling old electronics can save energy and valuable resources.
Since TVs, computer monitors and other electronics contain toxic metals and other hazardous materials, it is important that residents not place their electronics in City trash containers or in City alleys. The City & County of Denver is in the process of developing a comprehensive electronics recycling program to provide residents with additional opportunities for e-waste recycling. Stay tuned to this website for more details.
