Park Stewardship

The City of Denver provides over 200 city and mountain parks, and several more rivers and trail areas  for the enjoyment of residents and visitors year round.

 

 


 

Adopt-A-Park
Denver Parks and Recreation recognizes the need and benefits of a clean and litter free parks. Denver has established an Adopt-A-Park  program to enable civic groups, individuals and businesses to help keep their park and community beautiful.  The volunteer adopter will adopt a park by agreeing to provide volunteer support for the removal of litter, mulching, painting,  or specific needs of an area to enhance the beautification of a specific park entity.

The Adopt-A-Park  program seeks families, clubs, businesses (ages 9 and older), and a team of 6 (minimum) to adopt a flowerbed located in the Denver Parks area.

The volunteer adopter will adopt a trail by agreeing to provide volunteer support for the removal of litter, weeding or specific needs of an area to enhance the beautification of a specific trail entity.

Denver has established an Adopt-A-Flowerbed program to enable civic groups, individuals and businesses to help keep their flowerbed beautiful. The volunteer adopter will adopt a flowerbed by agreeing to provide volunteer support for maintenance of litter, weeding, planting, removing flowers at year end  or specific needs to enhance the beautification of a flowerbed.

The Adopt-a-Flowerbed program seeks families, clubs, businesses (ages 18 and older), and a team of 6 (minimum) to adopt a flowerbed located in the Denver Parks area.

Volunteer Interest:

    • Invasive/noxious plant removal
    • Park Beautification - projects consist of mulching, painting, debris removal, sucker removal, lakeshore cleanup, weeding, & playground maintenance
    • Special Events
    • Trail maintenance - projects consist of debris removal, weeding, tree trimming
    • Flowerbed maintenance - weeding, planting, removing flowers at year end
