 About Your Property Concern
How long will it take?
  • Our Inspectors will check the location within three business days. 
  • If a violation is present, the Inspector will provide notice to the property owner advising of the violation, and providing a time period to bring the property into compliance. 
  • The Inspector will then revisit the property at the end of the compliance period. 
  • If the property owner fails to correct the problem within the prescribed time period, escalating legal action is taken.     
 
What is the status of my property concern?
If you conveyed your complaint  to Denver 311, you were issued a tracking number.  You may call Denver 311 for a status on the case by providing the tracking number, or the address of the problem property.  
 
  • The Inspector will have up to three business days to perform a field check on your complaint. 
  • If a violation is present, the Inspector will provide notice to the property owner advising of the violation, and providing a time period to bring the property into compliance. 
  • The Inspector will then revisit the property at the end of the compliance period. 
  • If the property owner fails to correct the problem within the prescribed time period, escalating legal action is taken.   
  • If you do not observe any improvement within 10 days of making a complaint, please rest assured that an inspection has already been performed. 
  • If a violation was observed, then a notice of violation to the property owner will have been issued.
