Mayor Hancock and City Librarian Shirley Amore led library-lovers and city service supporters through the doors of the Central Library on Saturday morning to announce the city’s first round of expanded library hours for nine branches citywide.

The City and County of Denver has again been given a AAA rating from Standard and Poor’s (S&P), Fitch’s, and Moody’s for its long term general obligation bonds. The three ratings agencies gave Denver a AA+/Stable rating for their 2015A certificates of participation, a type of financing that allows cities to make lease payments to investors in order to finance certain capital projects.
