Campaign Finance Regulations In addition to gaining access to the ballot, there are periodic financial reports that all campaigns must file with the city. Campaign finance requirements are administered by the City Clerk, a different division within the Office of Clerk and Recorder. The City Clerk is a division of the Clerk and Recorder Office, located at 201 W. Colfax Ave., Suite 201. Your Denver campaign finance reports become part of the public record and will be published by the City Clerk. School District Director Candidate Campaign Finance Report Filing Deadlines Report Due Date Reporting Period Tuesday, October 13, 2009 October 30, 2008 - October 8, 2009 Friday, October 30, 2009 October 9, 2009 - October 25, 2009 Thursday, December 3, 2009 October 26, 2009 - November 28, 2009 School District Director candidates must use state forms to file campaign finance reports. State campaign finance forms can be found here.    Effective January 2010, school board candidates must file their campaign finance reports electronically with the Colorado Secretary of State instead of with the Denver Clerk and Recorder. In 2009, school board candidates may file their reports through the Secretary of State's electronic system. Those doing so will be considered to have timely filed with the Denver Clerk and Recorder.

2009 Elections and Campaign Finance Ordinance In 2009, the Denver City Council passed an ordinance updating Elections and Campaign Finance provisions.   Candidates and committees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these changes.
