Enhancing the Arts in Denver with Four Yearly Seasons of Creative Programming for all ages, including Painting, Drawing, Paper Arts, Pottery, Ceramics, Crafts, Jewelry, Needle Arts, Sewing, Dance, Music and Special Events. Our talented instructors bring a wide variety of artistic skills and activities to our public at a Recreation Centers throughout the City.

In partnership with the MY Denver Card, DPR's Arts & Culture team are offering FREE classes to MY Denver Cardholders.

Art Experience
Ages: 6-8
Participants will learn about different mediums and materials while creating their own art pieces.

Chalk Drawing
Ages: 9-17
Join Larimer Square Chalk Artist Corbin Hillam in creating a design that will be enlarged into a colorful outdoor piece.

Ceramics and Pottery
Ages: 6-17
Sculpt your own creation or paint one that's already made!

Drawing Cartoons
Ages: 9-17
Cartoonist and book illustrator Corbin Hillam will teach you how to create your own cartoons, action figures, unique lettering, and moving animations!

Shapes and Surfaces
Ages: 9-17
Join local artist Bob Luna in creating 3 dimensional, sculptural creations with a variety of materials.

The Art Students League offers the opportunity to experiment with different artist materials to make wonderful works of art: colored pencils, pastels, watercolors, acrylic paints, papers, canvas, etc.

Jewelry Camp
Ages: 6-13
June 8 - 12
Southwest Recreation Center; 11:00AM-12:30PM
Use a variety of materials to make a different jewelry piece every day of this camp!

Piñata Camp
Ages: 6-12
June 15 - 19
Southwest Recreation Center; 11:00AM-12:30PM
Make a colorful paper Mache piñata for your family, and the last day make a big one for the class and break it!
